Hi, I had a breast augmentation with the gatehouse clinic nearly 3 years ago. I have quite bad rippling of the implants especially when i lean forward is this normal? thanks |
Thank you for your email. I am sorry to hear that you have rippling following your breast enlargement procedure.
Rippling is caused by the outline of the underlying implant showing through the skin. It normally occurs in people who are slim or have recently lost weight. If you have lost weight recently it would be worth trying to regain this as even slight extra padding in this area can significantly reduce the rippling.
If this is not possible other options include replacing the implant with a firmer more cohesive implant or relocating the implant under the muscle in the upper part. It would be best to see you in person to assess the best option for you. Please feel free to contact the Aurora Gatehouse Clinic to schedule and appointment.
Once again thank you for your enquiry we look forward to seeing you soon

I think it's a nice way to share experience about health experiences so it would be helpful for others who are looking for some information about their issues.

It is good to know that there are brave people like you to post such concern. By doing such, people who also had breast augmentation and those who would like to have one would have additional information. They will become more inquisitive and careful in choosing whose doctor they have to go, what questions they need to ask and important details that they need to know before and after the procedure.

There are lots of causes for what your experiencing right now. You should get back to your doctor and tell him what's that ripping feeling. Having this breast augmentation will have diff. effects on diff. people. You can also ask another doctor for a 2nd opinion.
